The French Picnic / Underground Restaurant

The French Picnic held at Capt'n Big "V" and Nancy's Estate in Alva was a tremendeous succeess due to ya'll's participation! The weather was perfect, the wine was flowing, and the friendship was ever so present. That's what it's all about! Did I mentionned the Food? Look at those plates...

March 08 Wine Club meeting: Red Meritage

The March 08 Wine Club Meeting was held on Good Friday at Melissa and Joe's Home in Naples. The theme was Red Meritage. All the wines were very, very good! It was hard work to try and decide which ones were better than others. The Trinchero and the Dry Creek were slightly ahead by just a few points. Our hosts did an outstanding job with with an amazing array of Hors d'Oeuvres and the CorkDork was busy at the grill preparing 2 whole sides of Atlantic Salmon. The evening was capped off by a trip down to Fifth Avenue for some dancing and perhaps more libations... like we needed more....

Announcing the February Wine Club Meeting!

The February Wine Club is to be held on FRIDAY (Not Saturday...) February 29th at the home of Brian and Julie in Cape Coral at 7 pm. The theme of the night is Spanish Wines. Each couple will bring a bottle of Spanish White wine of their choice and a bottle of Spanish Red wine of their choice as long as each bottle is valued to $20 or more! Please wrap your purchase in foil and chill the white before the meeting. Call the Cork Dork at 239-849-0622 as you make your purchase in an efffort to avoid duplication...

January 2008 Wine Club Meeting Set

Hello all you wine lovers....now that you all have unwrapped all your gifts and attempted to undecorate your holiday decor, plan on joining us for the January 26th Wine Tasting. The tasting will be at the usual 7pm and Ric & Sandy Black have graciously volunteered to host at their home in Fort Myers.

The Theme is focusing on tasting Italian Red Wines. Don't bother to chill your wine, room temperature is fine and of course call Christian when you are buying your wine to let him know your selection to avoid duplication. His cell is 239-849-0622, feel free to call anytime.
